River is a sweet 1 year old high energy fella. He will be completing beginner training this Sunday. We fostered to adopt him since he was 8 weeks old. He’s in the home with 3 other dogs and 1 cat. I do recommend meet and greet if he would be joining a family with other dogs. His joy for life stresses our 4 year old mini Aussie/poodle mix, who is only 6 pounds. He has never hurt her, but his energy level creates a lot of stress for her. We don’t have small children, but with his energy I wouldn’t recommend he be with a small child. He is best suited for a family with a fenced in back yard, who can walk him regularly. He will steal your heart. This is a very difficult for us. I know that he has so much joy to bring to someone looking for a dog that is goofy, full of life and ready for adventures. He loves hikes, car rides and being outside. He is also trained to walk off leash.
