Billie is a beautiful female kitty who was surrendered by her owner on April 13, 2023 along with several other cats who had shared her previous home. Billie was estimated to have been one-year old at that time. Billie has a jet black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a lovely face with golden eyes, a black button nose, and long black whiskers. This little sweetheart appeared to have a friendly, rather demure, personality and was quite content to pose quietly for first first photos when we took Billie's pictures the day she arrived on April 13th 2023. Billie was keeping a secret that we didn't realize at that time. Billie was pregnant when she entered our shelter and prematurely gave birth to 3-4 kittens on May 7th. Sadly, none of her babies survived. Billie was given vaccinations and Pyrantel wormer on April 14, 2023. She was also combo tested and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm. Billie weighed 9 lbs that day. She was given booster vaccines on May 19, 2023. Billie was spayed on May 30, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 8.5 lbs that day. Billie was very sad for several months after the loss for her babies, so our compassionate kennel techs introduced her to our HSOV Open Room in mid-summer 2023 where she could have the companionship of other cats and visitors. Billie still has a rather demure personality but has made tremendous progress. Billie would love to find a quiet home with someone special who would give her time to acclimate on her own time.
